Elle McPherson buys Icelandic Art

Australian supermodel Elle McPherson visited Icelandic artist Georg Guðni last weekend to buy a painting from him. " Yes, Elle McPherson was in Iceland and it's not the first time she's here," Georg Guðni said to Fréttablaðið.He first met McPherson in Los Angeles last January when he held an exhibition there with artist and film star Viggo Mortensen.

Pherson bought a painting from the exhibition and probably visited Guðni in Iceland for the same purpose. Georg Guðni lives and works in Reykjavik and has held numerous private exhibitions in Iceland and abroad. Last year saw the publication of "Strange Familiar" - a book on his works with a foreword by his friend Viggo Mortensen. A new book will be published on the artist in Germany this year.
