Rescue on the Sea

A man and a 12-year-old boy were rescued from high winds in Reykjavík harbour. The two were in a tiny sailboat, and ran into winds strong enough to capsize them yesterday, just off the shore of the island Geldinganes. Fortunately for them, this happened within sight of the Kayak Club. A two-man kayak rowed out to sea and rescued the boy, bringing him back to land. The Icelandic Rescue Squad arrived shortly thereafter and rescued the man. Both were very cold but otherwise unharmed.
