Towel Taken Off Market 22. júní 2006 13:06 Household goods store Rúmfatalagerinn has pulled a brand of towel from their shelves after it was brought to light that the towels might be made from child labour. The towels, made by the company Capri, are exported to Iceland from the Danish company Jysk, who buy them directly from the manufacturer. A few days ago, Danish television indicated that this manufacturer engages in child labour. "We have no interest in selling such goods," said Rúmfatalagerinn general manager Magnús Kjartan Sigurðsson. "The moment it was brought to our attention that there was some problem with this towel we took it off the shelves immediately." Department store Hagkaup has followed suit, by taking these towels off their shelves as well. - pfn News News in English Mest lesið Hundarnir þegar aflífaðir en ákvörðun um lógun ólögmæt Innlent Öryggisráðið ákveður að taka yfir Gasa-borg Erlent Dvalarleyfi langtum dýrara í hinum Norðurlöndunum Innlent Telja að lífvörður myndi aðeins gera ferðamenn kærulausari Innlent Amma ræsti neyðarhnapp við enn eina árás dóttur sinnar Innlent Fann hagtölur sem honum líkar og hélt óvæntan blaðamannafund Erlent Keppa við Kínverja og Rússa um að koma kjarnakljúfi til tunglsins Erlent Þyrlan á mesta forgangi vegna manns sem féll í Vestari-Jökulsá Innlent Nauðsynlegt að fólk fái úrræði til að vernda sig frá djúpfölsunum Innlent Sektaður fyrir að aka á 321 kílómetra hraða Erlent
