Penguin buys Avoid Us

The respected publishing house Penguin has signed a contract with the Icelandic publishing house JPV on publishing the comic book Avoid Us by the young and sarcastic author Hugleikur Dagsson. Penguin purchased the rights to publish the book in English world-wide except for Iceland. Avoid Us was published in Iceland last year to a raving success and was made into a play. Hugleikur received the Gríman Award as the best playwright of the year for the theatre production of Avoid Us.
